Local carpet cleaning in Edgewood
Edgewood’s larger homes often have long hallways, stairs and multiple bedrooms. Hallways longer than 20 feet count as two areas; your technician walks through the count with you before starting.
Pets and wet weather are hard on carpet. Our pet treatment and Scotchgard protectant ($15 per area) help keep high-traffic rooms looking clean longer.
We also clean upholstery, area rugs and tile, so you can take care of the whole house in one appointment.

How we clean
Our truck-mounted process
- 1
Walk-through
Your technician looks over each room, points out problem spots and confirms the price before starting. Light furniture like chairs and coffee tables gets moved for you.
- 2
Prespray
A mild-pH, kid- and pet-safe prespray goes down first, with extra attention on traffic lanes, spots and pet areas.
- 3
Dwell
The prespray is given time to work, loosening oily soil so it releases from the fibers instead of being pushed around.
- 4
Agitation
Fibers are worked through to break up ground-in dirt at the base of the carpet, where vacuums don’t reach.
- 5
Hot-water extraction
Our truck-mounted Hydramaster units rinse and extract the soil and cleaning solution, leaving no sticky residue behind.
- 6
Dry
Carpets are left clean, fresh and residue-free. Typical drying time is 4–6 hours under normal conditions.
Meet the family
Not a franchise. A local family since 1991.
Mike and Mary Jarman started Excel Carpet Cleaning in 1991 with one goal: the best clean the industry has to offer, at a fair price. More than 30 years later it’s still family owned and operated, and the next generation is on the trucks.
Every technician is IICRC trained and works from our own truck-mounted equipment. When you call, you reach our office, not a national call center.
